A Simple Ayurvedic Skincare Routine for Beginners
Start Ayurvedic-inspired skincare without the overwhelm. Here is a simple 3-step framework of cleansing, moisturising and protecting.
Ayurvedic-inspired skincare does not need to be complicated. At its heart is the idea of matching care to your own nature: observing how your skin behaves, and choosing products that feel supportive rather than extreme. The foundation is the same three steps every good routine shares.
Step one is cleansing. Choose a cleanser that removes the day without leaving the skin tight. Step two is moisturising, where oils such as kumkumadi tailam or a light cream support skin comfort. Step three, for daytime at least, is sun protection, which traditional wisdom now happily meets with modern sunscreen.
Pay attention to the seasons and your skin type. Oily skin often likes lighter textures and frequent but gentle cleansing; dry skin usually appreciates richer oils and a careful wash routine. Change one thing at a time so you can tell what is working.
A routine you can repeat is more powerful than a perfect one you abandon. Start small, use products consistently, and let Ayurveda reward you with habits rather than miracles.
